Description

Dwayne: A Tale from Existentia

Dwayne tells the surreal tale of a young woman whose life is upended when she wakes up one morning to find a 15-ton boulder sitting quietly—ominously—in her living room.

Unable to explain how it got there, or why, she wants the creepy rock gone. But the insurance company won’t help her remove it, so the immovable monolith in the center of her home becomes her new roommate. Over time, she forms an uneasy bond with the rock she names Dwayne. Soon, she’s internet famous as “Rock Girl,” thriving socially and embarking on her first romantic adventures in years.

But then Dwayne reveals that he’s not as immovable as he once seemed…

Readers of Franz Kafka, Kurt Vonnegut, and Etgar Keret will enjoy Dwayne: A Tale from Existentia. This is the first story from the ongoing Existentia collection by IPPY-award-winning author Lynsey G, featuring cover art and chapter-opener illustrations by Jayel Draco.
