Update: There has been a huge, unexpected change in events since we originally wrote the blog post below. Our dear friend, DeusNova42, is still very much alive. We were receiving updates on her situation from a mutual friend who lives in the UK and was able to visit with Deus daily during a prolonged illness. Since Oneshi Press is located in the United States, we were dependent upon that person for our information about Deus. When we were informed that she had passed away, we were heartbroken, and wrote the post below. However, it has since come to light that the information we got from the mutual friend was incorrect. And so we are overjoyed to report that she is very much alive, recovering from a prolonged illness, and still an active and integral member of the Oneshi Press community!
We apologize deeply to anyone who took the news of her passing hard. We certainly did, as well. The emotional turmoil caused by the misinformation we received cannot be underestimated, and we are very sorry for any confusion, hurt feelings, or other distress that our original, erroneous announcement caused. Please accept our heartfelt apologies.
Oneshi Press is heartbroken to make the following announcement. Our beloved friend, live-stream co-pilot, dedicated moderator, marketing consultant, and patron, DeusNova42, has passed away. Deus, AKA Jess, was a pillar of the Oneshi Press community. A born leader, a devoted friend, and a constant source of inspiration, love, and kindness to all who knew her, she is already sorely missed.
Her tragic passing has devastated the community. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we apologize for any delays in communication or erratic scheduling this week. We are processing our feelings and remain present for the grieving of our community. To that effect, there will be a live-stream tonight. Jayel will work on page 6 of “Children of Gaia: Refuge,” and we invite all our community members to join him for a stream in loving remembrance of Deus.
